When Nothing Else Worked
For years, Adede struggled with severe eczema. Countless commercial products promised relief but delivered harsh chemicals, artificial fragrances, and disappointment. Each product left her skin more irritated than before. The inflammation caused scars that seemed permanent, and steroid-based ointments offered only temporary solutions.
In 2015, she made a crucial decision: to seek a permanent solution. Armed with research and a passion for understanding natural ingredients, Adede began experimenting with plant butters, oils, essential oils, and botanical extracts. She discovered the remarkable benefits of shea butter, mango butter, jojoba oil, and other nutrient-dense ingredients in keeping eczema flare-ups at bay.
In her Nairobi kitchen, she handcrafted her first body butter formulation. The results were transformative—not only did it soothe her skin and fade the scars, but it also kept her hydrated all day. Friends and family who tried her creation were amazed. Soon, requests came flooding in, and a small personal remedy evolved into a commercial opportunity.
Today, Adede is a certified skincare formulator with an advanced diploma in organic cosmetics science. In 2015, she officially launched Adedes Organic Fusions as a limited company registered under Kenya's Companies Act legislation. Using her middle name gave the brand a deeply personal touch—it represents the struggle that led to a solution.
